Iris, the Siri of Android Unveiled

If you are observant enough, you would notice that Iris, an acronym of "Intelligent Rival Imitator of Siri", is spelled in reverse of Siri. But in actual, Iris is exactly like Siri, a voice-recognition software system specially crafted which supposedly aims to become our new generation of personal assistants. On whether they actually achieve what they were meant for, we'll talk about that later. For now, let's take a look and speak into the all-new Iris.

Following the launch of Apple's latest device and arguably the most prominent feature of the iPhone 4s - Siri, which has also been pronounced by many as a breakthrough introduction, a team of Android developers (Dexetra) decided to take up the challenge to compete against it. And in merely 8 hours, the android version of Siri is set to go.

Similar to the Siri, Iris is able to make calls and send messages by command, capable of intelligently answering questions based on its True Knowledge Engine and for those with nothing to do, Iris can easily talk you out of boredom.

First Impression
Well, you can talk to him/her some really random stuff and he will answer you, or fire at you some extremely retarded replies. For example, when I said "I don't understand what you are saying", he answered "I don't understand what you are saying either". But when I said "I don't want to talk to you", he answered me with a "why?". Hmmm..that's interesting.

Anyways, you can download the app for FREE here.
